Mission Statement
The Recovery Bank is a peer-driven recovery support center for persons who have experienced addiction to alcohol or drugs….and their loved ones.
The Recovery Bank is a peer-driven recovery support center in Scranton. They help people recovering from drug or alcohol addiction and their loved ones to move forward physically, emotionally, mentally, spiritually and financially.
With the peer-driven approach, people in recovery build relationships with others who have gone through the same struggles. Volunteers share their own stories of success and encourage others in recovery.
The Recovery Bank is not a treatment center, nor are they focused solely on addiction. Their primary purpose is to support and enhance recovery. They hold programs to help people grow in mind, body and spirit. Exercise and yoga classes promote physical wellbeing, while educational programs help people earn a GED, enroll in college and search for jobs. Art classes and social events provide a fun, safe environment.
