Valley Santa is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization established in 1984. Celebrating 40 years serving the community in 2023, they strive to spread the holiday spirit to children in need throughout Luzerne County. The group is entirely volunteer-based and thrives thanks to community support and donations. Each November and December they are in need of helpers to read letters from families seeking gifts for their children, shopping for presents, wrapping and boxing.

If you or a family you know is in need of help this holiday time, whether it’s for Christmas, Hanukkah or Kwanza, you can request presents by sending a letter to Valley Santa, co-signed by a clergy member or social worker, to Valley Santa: PO Box 5276, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18703, or by contacting Help Line at 211. Toys are purchased for children newborn through twelve years of age.
