Join ärt ə’ fekts Gallery for their first Artist Opening of 2024 highlighting local artist Vincent Musto!

Vincent James Musto was born in Pittston, Pennsylvania to Italian American parents and was the youngest of three children.

Upon completion of high school, Vince attended the University of Scranton, and later Wilkes University, earning a master’s degree in Secondary Education.

Vince began his teaching career in 1969 and retired in 2006 while still teaching at Penn State University on a part time basis. During the summer of 1988, Vince was granted a fellowship through Dickenson University and had the opportunity to travel throughout Span and Italy – it was during this venture where he discovered his vast love of the arts and the wines and foods of Italy.

Vince’s art is inspired by Jackson Pollock, but his greatest muse is his wife, who continuously finds wall space in their home to display all her favorite pieces. Since his retirement, Vince has enjoyed experimenting with different techniques and mediums.
