Pottery Experience with Mom at Spirited Art Scranton! 

Enjoy a unique Pottery Experience where you and Mom can work side by side to to Make a matching piece of Pottery!

In this fun event you will be working with your hands to create functional vessel  that you can treasure forever!

This is how it works:

  1. This event is available for everyone! Bring your mom, dad, friends or significant other.
  2. Participant will work in pairs with the instruction from their experienced artisan.
  3. You will learn and use hand building techniques.
  4. You will move through the creative process of turning a ball of clay into a useful piece of art from start-to-finish.
  5.  After making your pottery, put your personality into the piece by painting, carving, or decorating it! The possibilities are endless!
  6. This event is BYOB.
  7. The cost of your ticket includes instruction, all materials, glazing and firing!
  8. At the end of the evening, pieces will be taken to our studio to get glazed and fired in the kiln!
  9. Finished pieces will be delivered back to Spirited Art Scranton for pick up (please allow 2-4 weeks for processing).
  10. Your finished pottery will be microwave/ dishwasher/ food/ liquid safe!

Your Experience Cost: $40.00 per piece*

Children 6 years and younger can share the pottery piece with their grown up. (1 adult and 1 child less than 6 years old $40)

All Children 6+ pay their own piece, no exceptions.

Things to consider during the event:

  •  Please arrive 10 minutes before the class start. 
  • Long hair should be put up or back, and long necklaces thrown over the shoulder please!
  • Thank you for taking your jewelry off your wrists and fingers before getting started.
  • Clothing and shoes that you don’t mind getting a little bit dirty should be worn.

Disclaimer:

  • They can not guarantee that you will create the exact shape and result from the pottery piece that you desire. Pottery is a craft that takes time and skill to master so you need to be gentle with yourself and the learning process. They will make every effort to work with you and help you, but remember that each piece will look different in shape, and different in size. Every piece will be beautiful since it will be made by you! All of your creative energy will be embedded to enjoy for a lifetime!
  • There is a lot that can happen in the process of making pottery and the material can react in unexpected ways, that being said although they will take every precaution to get a successful piece, clay can break during the drying, transportation or firing. If your handcrafted pottery doesn’t get to be completed, you will receive a handcrafted pottery piece made by their artisan.

Cancellation Policy:

  • Due to limited seating, they request that you cancel at least 5 days before a scheduled experience. Cancellations made within this period will receive a 50% refund.
