Be part of the unique tradition of Saint Ubaldo Day on Saturday, May 25th, in Jessup, PA! The day-long celebration culminates with the adrenaline-filled “Running of the Saints” (La Corsa dei Ceri) as the three families of runners, each representing one of the town’s three saints (Sant’ Ubaldo, San Giorgio, & Sant’ Antonio) run through the spectator filled town streets bearing massive statues on their shoulders. La Festa dei Ceri is not a race! It’s a procession. Sant’ Ubaldo always “wins.” It is his day, after all! The Running of the Saints kicks off at 5:30 pm. The Jessup Hose Co. No. 2 Annual Carnival will accompany the St. Ubaldo festivities, where you’ll enjoy amusement rides, food, games, and more from Thursday, May 23 – Monday, May 27, 2024!

Each year, the Saint Ubaldo Society welcomes thousands of visitors to Jessup, PA, to celebrate one of the world’s oldest and most beloved traditions – la Festa dei Ceri. Brought to the Jessup community in 1909, the Festa celebrates and honors the life and legacy of Sant’ Ubaldo, patron saint of Gubbio, Italy. Although the Ceri (statues) in Jessup are much smaller than those carried in Gubbio, the same passion, desire, and love for Sant’ Ubaldo live within the hearts of those who carry the cero.
