The Shimmy in Shickshinny 1/2 and 1/4 Marathon (formerly the Warrior Trail) is open for registration! It’s still the same incredible race but they changed the name because it doesn’t take a warrior to run it. This flat, fast, and shaded course is perfect for a mid-summer half-marathon!

The Shimmy in Shickshinny follows the hard-packed Susquehanna Warrior Trail as it runs along the west bank of the Susquehanna River in Luzerne County, PA. The out-and-back route has a total elevation gain/loss of 11 feet and 90% of the trail is shaded.

Half Marathon: $50 until 7/1, $55 until 8/1; $60 8/1 to race day
Quarter Marathon: $35 until 7/1; $40 until 8/1; $45 8/1 to race day

Participants receive a super-soft race-themed T-shirt (while supplies last) and all participants will receive a unique finisher’s medal!

Porta-potties will be available at the starting area and along the course. Water stations will be available roughly every 2 miles. There is plenty of parking near the starting area in a few parking lots and along the street. A portion of the proceeds and 100% of all donations will go to support the Susquehanna Warrior Trail.
