Family and Tradition Take Center Stage

Here we are in late April and spring has arrived in NEPA. We’re astonished at all the wonderful things to do here in NEPA during the springtime. Our community bounds with energy this time of year. And we are so lucky to live in an area where we value such things as family, friends, and tradition.

Which brings me to the point of my blog today. The National Broadway Tour of Fiddler on the Roof, presented by Broadway Theatre League of NEPA, arrives in town this weekend, April 21-23, for 5 performances. This time-honored show is filled with NEPA virtues – family and tradition – and you’ll be mesmerized with the beauty of how the story unfolds.

Top Five Reasons to See Fiddler on the Roof this Weekend

Today I thought I’d use my blog to give you the top 5 reasons you should see Fiddler on the Roof this weekend at the Scranton Cultural Center.

1 – High-quality performances. This National touring show features a cast and crew of highly-skilled professionals whose talents are unmatched. The performances are of the highest caliber with top-notch singing, dancing, and acting. The show plays with a live orchestra of amazing musicians, giving this musical a full Broadway effect, with songs you already know and love.

2 – Access to theater. Not everyone can travel to New York to see a Broadway show. So touring productions like this provide access to live classic theater for people who might not have the opportunity. And it’s right here in our own backyard!

3 – Community building. Live musical performances are a social event that bring people together. Seeing a show on tour is an opportunity to connect with other theater lovers in your community and to support local arts organizations. Bring along your friends and family for a night out to be remembered for years to come.

4 – Affordability. Ticket prices for Fiddler on the Roof are significantly less than you would pay for a ticket on Broadway. As a special offer, use the code TRADITION and get 25% off your ticket for the Sunday at 6:30 p.m. performance.

5 – A live experience. Finally, there is just something special about experiencing live theater. Every performance is unique, and there is a sense of excitement and unpredictability that comes with seeing a show in person. Whether on Broadway or on tour, seeing a musical live will be a memorable and enriching experience.
