The Jim Thorpe Bear Mountain Butterfly Sanctuary is a hands-on education center, featuring an indoor “Flutterarium” live butterfly flight room, kids’ art space and activity room, and nature-based gift shop.

Learn all about butterflies through a fascinating and fun educational program led by its knowledgeable staff,  hand-feed butterflies, and create happy memories and a craft to take home.

Bear Mountain Butterfly Sanctuary provides a range of educational programs for the general public, from community butterfly releases to gardening workshops and camps.

The sanctuary also has exotic frogs for visitors less interested in butterflies.
