The park features short walking trails that follow the creek and pass through forested areas. The main trail is approximately 0.4 miles out and back, with a gravel and wooded surface. It is suitable for walking, running and seasonal activities like cross-country skiing and snowshoeing.

Fishing is permitted along the creek on a catch-and-release basis, with a valid license required. Picnic tables and grills are available for visitors looking to spend time outdoors. The park includes two access points along Hickory Valley Road, each with its own parking area.

Leashed dogs are welcome, though visitors must clean up after their pets. The park may be closed during peak summer months. If open between Memorial Day and Labor Day, a day-use fee applies for non-Monroe County residents.
