Step Back Into Colonial Times

Every square inch holds a story at Laceyville’s Oldest House, which dates back to 1781. It has served as the home for several families and a stopping point for travelers on the Old North Branch Canal. Although it has been remodeled over the years, the original structure remains intact.

The Oldest House has three floors filled with artifacts like quilts dating back to the 1800s, a nineteenth century wedding dress, and clippings from local newspapers. The postcard collection depicts local landmarks.

The Oldest House offers public tours on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday afternoons from June through September. Call to confirm tour hours.
