The heart of some of the most beautiful landscapes in the area.

On Scranton’s far east side, bordering Interstate 81 and spanning both banks of Roaring Brook lies the ever-popular Nay Aug Park. Often cited as the city’s most treasured green space, Nay Aug is the largest park in Scranton.

Nay Aug is home to the revered Everhart Museum, Nay Aug Gorge and Waterfall – a National Natural Landmark, several memorials and walking trails and so much more.

In the summer, city residents cool off in the park’s two Olympic-sized swimming pools complete with diving boards and water slides. There are also two well-maintained playgrounds and the 150-foot high David Wenzel Treehouse which overlooks the gorge.

The park is a favorite weekend spot with many green spaces suited for picnicking, soaking up some sun, flying kites or taking your furry friends for a walk.

And the fun doesn’t stop when summer ends. Nay Aug Park also hosts a spectacular drive-thru Holiday Light Show. Guests can drive through the park viewing over 100 seasonal light displays along the way. There is no admission fee but donations toward park maintenance are welcome.
