Palmyra Township Public Beach offers classic summertime fun on the shores of Lake Wallenpaupack in the Pocono Lake Region of the northern Pocono Mountains. Located in Hawley, this scenic spot is the only public beach on the lake, making it a go-to destination for swimming, sunbathing, and waterfront relaxation during the warmer months.
Families, friends, and visitors of all ages flock to the beach from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend to enjoy the calm swimming area. It’s also a favorite spot for kids, who can take part in seasonal swim lessons. Onshore, you’ll find picnic tables, charcoal grills, and a snack bar that make it easy to plan a full day at the lake. Volleyball courts add to the beach day energy, offering a great group activity once you’ve dried off from a swim.

Palmyra Township Public Beach is open daily from 11 AM to 5 PM, weather permitting. Admission is $10 for adults and $2 for children ages 2–12. Children under 2 and adults over 64 enjoy free entry. Picnic tables and grills are available to rent for $10 per day, making it a great spot for a family outing or lakeside lunch.
