Shogun is a sushi and hibachi restaurant located in The Woodlands in Plains. Their authentic Japanese cuisine draws in locals and hotel guests alike. Even musicians Chris Daughtry and Don McLean have stopped by to try Shogun’s delicious dishes.

Shogun makes over 50 types of hand-rolled sushi. Relax in their elegant dining area or head over to the hibachi tables, where you’ll find nothing short of a culinary adventure. The chefs will slice, dice, and sear fresh meats and seafood right before your eyes (and add in some hilarious antics while they’re at it).

Menu Highlights

You have to try one of the chef’s specialty rolls. The signature Shogun roll includes crabmeat, cream cheese, and asparagus topped with smoked salmon and the chef’s special sauce. The Woodland roll is deep fried with eel, tuna, salmon, crabmeat, and asparagus. It’s finished with tobiko and a drizzle of special sauce.

Try one of Shogun’s dinner entrees, like the spicy red curry or the classic pad thai. If you want to try a little bit of everything, order a bento box. It includes a sampling of their teriyaki platters, tempura, steamed shrimp, shumai dumplings, and a roll.
