For the Young and Young at Heart

The Wyoming Valley Catholic Youth Center (or the CYC, as locals call it) has provided a safe and positive environment for the Wilkes-Barre community for over 70 years. This recreation center is home to two gymnasiums, a pool, a childcare facility, two playgrounds, an outdoor park, and a library.

The CYC will keep the entire family active and healthy. Score a slam dunk with the CYC’s basketball leagues and clinics for all ages. The state-of-the-art pool holds swim lessons and birthday parties. It’s also home of the Sea Lions, a competitive age group swim team.

The CYC sets the next generation up for success with their childcare programs. They provide the only 24-hour childcare center in Luzerne County, making it a great resource for working families. They also offer pre-school prep and kindergarten readiness programs. Children in kindergarten through eighth grade can join the before and after school programs for snacks, homework help, and fun activities.
