We’re teaming up with community partners all over Northeastern Pennsylvania to bring you a closer look at what makes our amazing counties, cities, towns and villages so unique. Keep your eye on this space for regular contributions from local organizations, visitors’ bureaus, tourism boards, chambers and so much more.

Center City Print – Kingston, PA / Scranton, PA / Hazleton, PA

According to Chief Marketing Officer Dave Graff, “Center City Print was founded in 2012 by Alex Molfetas and Kurt Effertz with a single copy machine and a will to deliver exceptional customer service.”

In 2016, Dave joined the team as a part-time employee while still enrolled at Wilkes University. He was offered a full-time graphic design position upon graduation. In 2017, he initiated the expansion of their Kingston office and opened the store in the Spring of 2017. In 2021, the company acquired a local blueprinting shop serving the industrial interests of contractors, utility companies, and architects. Fast forward to October of 2023 when Center City Print opened its third location in Hazleton on Rt. 93.

Since Center City Print’s inception, the focus has always been on delivering exceptional customer service and treating people with respect no matter how small or big their orders may be.

Center City Print is a full-service printing company offering business products like business cards, brochures, and flyers. They also support non-profits with direct mailing services, graphic design services, event printing, and stationery needs. Lastly, they serve their personal customers with invitations, birthday banners, bridal printing, and the finishing touches that make their life events memorable.

Creative Customer Service!

Those personal touches, adaptability, and customer relationships are what set them apart.

“The print industry is historically uninventive as it is a mature industry. What sets us apart is our ability to work within nearly every scenario, the ability to adapt to market demands, and the willingness to do it all with a smile. When a customer calls on our team, we are attentive and provide sound advice for their next project,” says Dave.

“There are countless stories of us going above and beyond for our customers! (Just check out our Google reviews). But none had a greater impact than our COVID-19 relief campaign for essential workers in Northeastern Pennsylvania. We donated $5,000 to the Scranton Area Foundation and provided more than 500 posters and yard signs in support of our essential workers. This project required many organizations in the community to come together to raise nearly $900,000 for NEPA,” says Dave.

Giving back to the community is a core priority of both Dave and Center City Print.

Center City Print is a business member of the Greater Wyoming Valley Chamber of Commerce, The Greater Pittston Chamber of Commerce, The Greater Scranton Chamber of Commerce, and The Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce.

In the community, Dave is a proud member of the Greater Wyoming Valley Chamber’s Ambassador Council, a Director Consultant, and a member of the BNI Valley Chapter, and attends many networking events from Scranton to Hazleton. He also serves Northeastern Pennsylvania through volunteering and nonprofit participation, and is a proud board member of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Northeastern Pennsylvania, Advisory Council member of Autism Awareness NEPA, and Advisory Council Member of the Paperback Foundation. “Oh yeah, and you can catch me at wedding venues and local establishments with the energetic cover band, Light Weight,” says Dave.

Community is key.

“I was born and raised here! I grew up in Olyphant and spent several years in Pittston as I went to school at Wilkes University. I received my first job offer here, met my wife, and bought a house. NEPA is a great place to call home! Although the weather can sometimes be undesirable, our community comes together in times of celebration and support. Specifically, our business community is always there for one another and through direct and indirect support,” says Dave.
