O’Donnell Law Offices – Kingston, PA

Serving NEPA and beyond for over 30 years.

The Kingston-based O’Donnell Law personal injury law firm serves Luzerne County, Lackawanna County, Monroe County, and the surrounding communities, including Pittston, Wilkes-Barre, Hazleton, and Scranton. All of their clients come to them because they or a family member have been hurt in some way. Whether it’s an automobile or truck collision, sexual exploitation, medical malpractice, or workplace accident, their attorneys and support staff strive for justice for the injured. There are never any costs to clients until they achieve that justice for them by either settlement or trial verdict.

An exceptional track record of compassion.

“There are many qualified personal injury attorneys in our area. Our firm makes sure that the attorneys and staff are always available to all of our clients all of the time.  We know you need help. We know you, and we strive to always do our best for you,” says Catherine (Cathy) R. O’Donnell, Attorney. “We all became attorneys to help people. Our clients are at some of the lowest points in their lives and need help. When a former client sends another family member or friend to our office, it is the best compliment to our attorneys and staff that they are truly satisfied, and we are grateful to say we get these compliments a lot.”

The practice also includes the estate portion for any of their deceased clients, as well as estate planning and administration for non-personal injury clients.

They have a proven track record of legal success and were acknowledged by membership in the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum, selected by Super Lawyers as top attorneys in Pennsylvania, and listed in the National Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers.

A truly local law firm.

Attorney Catherine (Cathy) R. O’Donnell is originally from Pittsburgh, and when describing her journey to her current role at O’Donnell Law Office, she says, “I had the gift of a wonderful history teacher who coached speech and debate and suggested I consider being a lawyer. It was an idea that stuck.”

She went to the University of Pittsburgh and in 3 years attained a B.A. in Business & Economics, then went directly to Pitt Law School after college and attained a joint J.D. and M.B.A.  She met her husband, Neil, on the first day of law school. Neil was born and raised in Wilkes-Barre. The two got married shortly after law school and worked at two different law firms in Philadelphia for a few years. Neil knew when he went to law school that he wanted to open a law office in his hometown. When he first opened the office, Cathy worked in Scranton, and as the office grew, she was able to join him in the practice. She is currently the firm’s Business Manager and she practices in the area of estate planning and administration. Neil and the other three attorneys at O’Donnell Law Office all represent the injured in the areas of personal injury, workers’ compensation, and social security disability.

In the community, Cathy has been a member (and prior chair) of the Luzerne County Dress for Success Board.  She is the President of the Luzerne County Bar Association Charitable Foundation and the Immediate Past President of the Wilkes Barre Law & Library Association.  She currently serves as the Vice Chairperson of the Luzerne County Community College and the Secretary for both the Pennsylvania Commission for Community Colleges and the United Way of Wyoming Valley.  She is on the Board of Directors for Junior Leadership Northeast and the Jewish Community Alliance of NEPA.  She, along with all of her staff, also look for volunteer opportunities throughout our Valley with a heart.
