Morels are a highly sought-after edible fungi known for their distinctive appearance and exquisite flavor. Join the Ski Shack in Moosic on Sunday, May 5 at 2:00 pm to learn more about the art of morel hunting.

Start by meeting at Ski Shack where Dannielle Bennett, from Connected Fungirl Wellness, will provide a brief tutorial on mushroom hunting basics before leading us on a hike to search for delicious (and elusive) morels! Please note this event will focus on identification and education and not on foraging. There is NO guarantee on finding morel mushrooms.

Complimentary warm chaga mushroom tea will be provided and mushroom-infused lip balm will be available for attendees to take home. Signed copies of Dannielle’s book “Fungirl’s Funguide – Favorite Wild Mushrooms of Pennsylvania: A Guide for Beginners” will also be available for purchase.

This event will be held outdoors and may be rescheduled in the event of heavy storms. Make sure to wear waterproof, treaded shoes and dress appropriately for the weather. Don’t forget water!
