NEPA Goes All Out for St. Patrick’s Day

It’s that time of year when bagpipers, step dancers and colorful floats fill the streets and sidewalks turn into a sea of green. Whether you’re rocking clover prints or a cheeky “Kiss Me, I’m Irish” pin, NEPA knows how to make St. Patrick’s Day a month-long celebration.

Irish or not, the fun is too good to miss. Head to one of NEPA’s beloved Irish pubs for hearty food, festive tunes and a dose of the craic, and be sure to join in the excitement at the local St. Patrick’s Day parades, festivals and events that fill the season with Irish cheer.

The West Pittston Public Library is hosting a festive St. Patrick’s Day paint night where adults can create a charming gnome with guided step-by-step instruction. The $25 registration fee covers all materials and donations support future library programs and events.

Saturday, March 1 at 10 a.m. & 4 p.m.

Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day at Brittany’s Bakehouse in Forty Fort, by joining their festive cookie decorating classes. In these 2.5-hour sessions, you’ll learn to outline, flood and detail six themed sugar cookies; all supplies are provided, and participants are welcome to bring their own food and drinks.

Participate in the Leprechaun Loop 5K and 1-Mile Walk on Main Street in Pittston, with registration fees starting at $25. Proceeds benefit Allied Services, a non-profit health system dedicated to supporting individuals with disabilities and chronic illnesses in Northeastern Pennsylvania.
