Shamrocks, Snow Squalls and Smiles: A Joyful Day at Wilkes-Barre's 44th St. Patrick's Day Parade

We headed to Wilkes-Barre for their annual St. Patrick’s Day parade. And even though mother nature handed us what seemed like all four seasons in a short, two-hour timeframe, that didn’t stop parade-goers from having a good time.

The parade included 100 groups, over 1,500 participants and thousands of attendees that seemed visibly unfazed as each snow squall passed through. Street vendors helped garnish the spirit of things with balloons, hats and funny leprechaun beards as local businesses, musicians, politicians and emergency personnel marched their way down South Main Street toward Public Square.

Overall the celebration ended with lots of fun, excitement and smiles and we were happy to be there to capture the fun. Check out the highlights below!
