A Night Filled with Music, Dancing and Awards
Last night, we had the pleasure of attending Sunsets on South Main (SOMA) in downtown Wilkes-Barre—an event organized by the Diamond City Partnership. The evening was filled with live music, refreshing beverages from Susquehanna Brewing Company, games, and adult treats from Boozy B’s ice cream. Triple Fret got things started with their perfect three-part harmonies and soft rock music. Their performance was followed by the classic rock cover band, Strawberry Jam, who had the crowd dancing to their timeless hits from the 60s and 70s.
As the night continued, the festivities moved to Public Square, where the Wilkes-Barre Chamber of Commerce hosted their inaugural “Light Up the Valley” event. The celebration continued with more music, dancing, and an awards ceremony to honor the “Change Makers” or individuals making a positive impact on the community.
Attendees also had a chance to visit the various vendors that were set up along the square and discover unique, local products. Both events were well attended and provided an enjoyable experience for people of all ages. And of course, we brought our camera along to capture the fun. Check it out!
