A “Heaven on Earth” for Farm Animals

Indraloka Animal Sanctuary near Dalton is a nonprofit organization that rescues animals in need and gives them a safe haven. The sanctuary is currently home to nearly 300 animals, including pigs, cats, sheep, cows, birds, goats, alpacas, and horses.

Indraloka Animal Sanctuary also teaches the community about protecting the earth, making healthy choices, and treating all creatures with compassion. They offer children’s programs and hold events like Nurture and Nourish days, where you can help care for the animals. You can also make an appointment to take a two-hour tour of the grounds and hear the animals’ stories. Tours run from April through December.
