Raymondskill Falls | A Towering Waterfall Hike in Pike County

Raymondskill Falls in the Pocono Mountain’s Pike County, offers visitors a dramatic waterfall hike within the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area. Just under five miles south of historic Milford, this natural wonder towers at over 150 feet, making it the tallest waterfall in Pennsylvania. The falls cascade down three distinct tiers, creating an unforgettable view and a powerful soundscape that attracts hikers, photographers and nature lovers year-round.

A dedicated parking area leads to hiking trails maintained by the National Park Service. These trails offer several scenic viewing platforms overlooking Raymondskill Creek. While the path to the top viewing platform is relatively easy, the descent to the second-tier platform presents more of a challenge and requires careful footing. There is no official trail to the bottom of the falls, making it unsuitable for off-trail exploring. Hikers are strongly encouraged to wear sturdy hiking shoes.

For those looking to extend their waterfall hike, nearby options like the Cliff Park Trail System provide additional scenic routes. With its breathtaking scenery and proximity to charming towns like Milford and Dingmans Ferry, Raymondskill Falls is a great choice for a rewarding day trip from anywhere in or around Northeastern PA.

Please Note: The upper parking lot is closed annually from early January to mid-April.
