One of the oldest cultural institutions in the county, the Lackawanna Historical Society displays artifacts, archives and bibliographic materials that have been preserved or interpreted from the county’s social, cultural, and economic history. Learn more through education programs, library access, and exhibit rooms, all available at the Catlin House. This Tudor Revival house was built in 1912 and serves as the society’s museum and headquarters.
The Lackawanna Historical Society frequently hosts lectures and walking tours, including their popular Scranton After Dark ghost tours in October.
