Old Stone walls and chipmunks

Located just off the north end of Lackawanna State Park, this 35-acre preserve spans across mature, dense forests. Parking is available at the gravel lot on PA 438 just 1 mile east of the Rt. 407 intersection.

The 1-mile loop trail on the preserve connects with the Bull Run Trail from Lackawanna State Park. Along the way, you’ll find remnants of old stone walls and abundant wildlife. The trail is open to hiking and biking. Hunting is allowed on the preserve with the proper permit issued by the Conservancy.

The Ziegler Preserve is owned and managed by the Countryside Conservancy. It is open to the public from dawn to dusk.
