Last Friday, we headed to Downtown Scranton for the much-anticipated grand opening of Scranton Art Haus. The event featured theater-themed treats by Lynn Sandy’s Bakery and plenty of fun décor. The state-of the-art theater and social club welcomed a large, enthusiastic crowd including Scranton Mayor Paige Cognetti, Lackawanna County Commissioners, the Scranton Chamber, theater staff and eager moviegoers.

Guests sampled chicken tenders, soft pretzels, fried pickles and other theater concession fare. Scranton Art Haus will also offer a full menu of salads, sandwiches, pizzas, kid-friendly combos and more. Adults will also be able to grab a beer, wine or cocktails from the full-service bar.

The locally-owned and operated, eight-screen theater can be found on Lackawanna Ave. across from The Marketplace at Steamtown. In addition to the bar and extensive menu, the cinema also features in-theater dining from the comfort of their oversized, plush seats.
