Mission Statement
Farm Arts Collective is an Agri-Cultural hub where art and performance intersect with agrarian and ecological ideas. We focus on four pillars of life sustaining practices: Farming, Theatre, Food and Ecology.
Farm Arts Collective | Creativity & Sustainability in Damascus
Farm Arts Collective, a nonprofit organization based at Willow Wisp Organic Farm in Damascus, PA, merges the worlds of farming, theater, and ecology to cultivate community engagement and creative expression. Located on a solar-powered vegetable farm and greenhouse that serves Northeastern Pennsylvania, the Catskills, and New York City, the organization offers a vibrant calendar of workshops, performances, shared meals, and special events rooted in sustainability and the arts.
Inspiring Programs That Bridge Art & Agriculture
Programming at Farm Arts Collective centers around four core pillars: sustainable farming, theatre performance, healthy food, and ecological awareness. From immersive workshops and ensemble-led performances to farm-to-table dinners and educational initiatives, each event is designed to deepen connections between people, place, and the environment. These interdisciplinary experiences encourage community participation and foster a greater understanding of climate issues, local food systems, and creative collaboration.
A Creative Force Within National Theater Networks
As a proud member of the Network of Ensemble Theaters, Theatre Communications Group, and the Alliance of Resident Theatres/New York, the organization brings national recognition to its rural home while elevating the cultural landscape of the region. Their unique blend of performance and agricultural education offers a model for how art and sustainability can intersect to build more resilient communities.
Farm Arts Collective enriches life in Damascus and beyond through artistic innovation, environmental education, and inclusive programming grounded in sustainability.
