Mission Statement
The mission of NEPA Racing is to offer timing and racing services for 5Ks, including marathons and triathlons, with the objective of raising funds for local non-profits. Their other objective is to help foster a healthier community by bringing out the best in all of us.
NEPA Racing | Nonprofit powering charity through community races in Northeastern PA
NEPA Racing is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Northeastern Pennsylvania that hosts, times & supports nonprofit races, donating 100% of proceeds to local charities. Since holding its first event in November 2021, NEPA Racing has contributed over $100,000 to community organizations—making every race more than a fitness challenge, but a meaningful way to give back. The group brings together runners, volunteers & sponsors to build healthier communities and stronger local support networks.
Annual Races With Lasting Community Impact
NEPA Racing currently hosts several signature events, including the Back Mountain Triathlon, the Ben August Memorial Thanks For Giving 5K, and the Back Mountain Trail 5K. These annual races offer fun, fitness & philanthropy, and bring out runners of all ages and abilities to support important local causes. As both a race host and official timer, NEPA Racing also partners with other events throughout the region to extend its impact.
