A Stroll Through West Pittston’s Spooky Halloweentown
West Pittston has once again transformed into NEPA’s own Halloweentown—a kid-friendly celebration filled with spooky scenes and Halloween magic. Nearly every block is brimming with Halloween spirit, from haunted yards and front porches to glowing jack-o’-lanterns lighting up the sidewalks.
Our self-guided walk, suitable for little legs, lead us down some of the town’s most popular streets, including Delaware, Montgomery and Luzerne Avenues. We spotted everything from giant skeletons and flying witches to clever, family-friendly yard displays. It felt like every house held a new surprise, each display more creative than the last.
This week, Halloweentown celebrates its annual Halloween House Decorating Contest, featuring three winning homes featured on the West Pittston Tomorrow Facebook page. And on Halloween night, the streets of West Pittston transform into the Trick-or-Treat Extravaganza, complete with food trucks, festive tunes and plenty of candy. Streets will be closed to traffic for a fun and safe evening for families.
Take a walk through West Pittston this week to soak in the eerie glow and festive decorations. And be sure to stop by on Friday, October 31, for an unforgettable night in NEPA’s own Halloweentown.
