The Hudson Model Railroad Club in Plains has been delighting train enthusiasts for over 40 years. Founded in 1980, this 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization brings the magic of model railroading to life through intricate displays and community engagement. With over 2,000 square feet of detailed tracks and scenery, the club showcases Northeastern Pennsylvania’s rich rail history in miniature form.
A Community of Hobbyists
From its second-floor space above the Hudson Polish Club, the organization opens its doors during special open houses each summer and winter. Visitors of all ages can explore era-neutral layouts featuring multiple mainlines and branch lines, all operated by an advanced Digitrax DCC system.
