NEPA Goes All Out for St. Patrick’s Day
Break out your green and get ready to jig—St. Patrick’s Day is just around the corner, and in NEPA, that means parades. With seven lively celebrations happening across the region, there’s no shortage of bagpipes, kilts and Irish dance to get you in the spirit.
Whether you’re cheering from the sidewalk, joining a pub crawl, or indulging in classic Irish fare like corned beef and shepherd’s pie, there’s no better time to embrace the luck of the Irish. So don your best St. Paddy’s Day gear and get ready for a parade season filled with music, spraoi and plenty of green!
Parade Week Pub Crawl takes place in Downtown Pittston on Saturday, February 28, 2026, from 5:30 PM to 9:00 PM. The Wyoming Valley Pipe and Drum Band performs live at The Red Mill, The Knights and Tomato Bar, with two sets at each stop. Admission is free; food and drinks are available for purchase.
Pittston St. Patrick’s Parade steps off in Downtown Pittston on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at 11:45 AM. The 13th annual parade features marching groups, local organizations and family-friendly entertainment along the route. Arrive early for the best viewing spots.
The Leprechaun’s Last Lager takes place at the Holiday Inn Scranton East – Dunmore on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at 6:00 PM. Presented by Enigma Entertainment, this interactive murder mystery dinner theater invites guests to solve a St. Patrick’s-themed whodunit. St. Paddy’s Slugfest comes to the Keystone Grand Ballroom at Mohegan Pennsylvania in Wilkes-Barre on Saturday, March 7, 2026, with doors at 6:00 PM and the first bell at 7:00 PM. The inaugural 10-fight card is headlined by Kurt Scoby with additional bouts from Yohan Vasquez, Avious Griffin and local fan favorites. Reserved-seat tickets are limited, general admission may be available at the door and guests under 21 must be accompanied by an adult.
Celtic Woman: A New Era comes to the F.M. Kirby Center for the Performing Arts in Wilkes-Barre on Sunday, March 8, 2026, at 7:00 PM. The GRAMMY®-nominated ensemble presents a new production featuring reimagined Irish favorites, orchestration and performances by Mairéad Carlin, Muirgen O’Mahony, Caitríona Sherlock and Ciara Ní Mhurchú. The parade begins at South Street and South Main Street and features more than 100 groups including community organizations, businesses and emergency responders. Participants line up between 1:00 PM and 2:00 PM and spectators should arrive early for viewing.
Andy Cooney’s Irish Celebration takes place at The Theater at North in Scranton on Sunday, March 15, 2025, at 2:00 PM. Andy Cooney performs alongside The Guinness Irish Band, Emerald Fire Irish Dancers and comedian George Casey for an afternoon of Irish music, dance and humor. Tickets are $35 plus fees and available online, by phone or at the box office.
Bagpipers at Breaker with Ceol Mor Pipe & Drum Band takes place at Breaker Brewing Company in Wilkes-Barre Township on Sunday, March 15, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM. The band performs a live set of traditional pipe and drum music as part of the brewery’s St. Patrick’s Day celebration. Admission is free and the brewery opens at 12:00 PM.
