Journey’s End Farm | Pure Maple & Eco Farming in Newfoundland

Journey’s End Farm in Newfoundland is a small, family-run farm offering ecologically grown vegetables, free-range eggs and pure Pennsylvania maple syrup. Everything sold from the farm is grown or made on-site without chemical pesticides or herbicides.

Journey’s End also welcomes individuals, families, and groups to experience the property through cabins and tent campsites, creating a peaceful way to connect with nature and the Pocono Mountains.

A Maple Tradition Rooted in History

Maple syrup production at Journey’s End Farm traces back generations, with the first small-scale sugaring efforts beginning in the 1930s. Today, the tradition continues with an annual season that begins in February.  Every year, the farm drills roughly 1,500 tap holes into sugar maples as the weather begins its late-winter shift. As temperatures alternate between freezing nights and thawing days, sap begins to flow.

To create the rich amber syrup Journey’s End is known for, the sap is boiled for hours in a wood-fired evaporator. The syrup is then filtered to remove naturally occurring sediment, and then bottled in a variety of sizes. There is nothing added and nothing removed. It’s just pure Pennsylvania maple.
