Students Take the Lead Creating Video Content for Hazleton Area School District Spirit Store
We recently teamed up with students from Hazleton Area Arts & Humanities Academy for a hands-on workshop about local marketing. The DiscoverNEPA team, Arts & Humanities students and their teachers gathered at the Hazleton Area Cyber Academy located inside the Laurel Mall. The day’s agenda – create three unique promotional videos for the district’s Spirit Store located inside the mall.
Students, placed into three groups, cycled through the process of creating a short-form video for the store. Each group worked with DiscoverNEPA’s photography and videography teams to capture compelling photo and video of the store and merchandise. They then joined our writing team to draft and record original narrative scripts to accompany each video. And they even did a little modeling to show off the store’s incredible line of shirts, jackets, hoodies hats and so much more.
By the end of the day, the students gained perspective on careers in marketing, creative writing, content creation and video and photo production. And their videos will be used to help the Hazleton Area School District promote the Spirit Store throughout the year.
Of course, while we were hard at work, students also documented the workshop with a few behind the scenes highlights. Check em’ out below.
