Take a trip back to when it all began

The Conyngham Valley Historical Society Museum located near Hazleton displays 200 years of the town’s history. There are plenty of different exhibits for you to check out. The museum carefully preserves and displays everything from military uniforms to old fashioned cooking tools. History buffs from near and far will be sure to find something that piques their interest among all of the different artifacts.

The museum encourages everyone to come out and take a tour. And you don’t need to be from Conyngham Valley to appreciate the rich history on display here. Learn about the town’s early battle for independence, the families that helped settled it, and the industries that helped it grow to the place that it is today.

Stop by the museum gift shop before you leave to take home a piece of history. One of their featured items is a Pictorial History Book of the area. Explore old photographs in the museum and then take home a book of your favorite reproduced photos of the valley. All of the proceeds benefit The Conyngham Valley Historical Society.
