Alzheimer’s Association Greater Pennsylvania Chapter | Support, care & research advocacy in NEPA
The Alzheimer’s Association Greater Pennsylvania Chapter serves Northeastern Pennsylvania, with its main office in Harrisburg and full-time staff and volunteers based in NEPA. For more than 25 years, this nonprofit has led efforts across the state to address Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias through direct support, caregiver resources and public education. As part of the national Alzheimer’s Association, the chapter is committed to improving quality of life for those affected while advancing global research.
Comprehensive Services for Families & Caregivers
The chapter provides essential services to individuals living with Alzheimer’s and their caregivers. These include support groups, helpline access, care consultations and community education programs. NEPA staff and volunteers connect people to these resources close to home, making sure no one faces this alone.
NEPA’s Role in a Global Movement
The annual Walk to End Alzheimer’s at PNC Field in Moosic brings the NEPA community together in the fight against the disease. The event raises critical funds for care, support services and scientific research, while honoring those affected by Alzheimer’s. Participation helps fuel a growing movement toward treatment breakthroughs and compassionate care.
Advocacy in Pennsylvania
The Alzheimer’s Association Greater Pennsylvania Chapter advocates for increased research funding and stronger dementia care policies at both the state and federal levels. Volunteers across NEPA connect with lawmakers and share personal experiences to raise awareness and sustain momentum year-round.
The Alzheimer’s Association Greater Pennsylvania Chapter continues to offer unwavering support to families in NEPA and drive progress toward a world without Alzheimer’s.
