Brandon’s Forever Home is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization located in the heart of downtown Hazleton, Pennsylvania, created to raise awareness about children in foster care and their need for permanent loving homes.

Brandon’s Forever Home | Advocating for foster youth with dignity & care in Hazleton

Brandon’s Forever Home in Hazleton is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to supporting children in the foster care system and helping them find permanent, loving homes. Founded by Pennsylvania State Representative Tarah Toohil and Attorney Lorine Angelo Ogurkis, the organization works to improve the lives of over 400 foster youth in Luzerne County. Through mentorship, basic necessities and emotional support, the group ensures that no child feels forgotten.

Supporting Foster Children with Compassion

Brandon’s Forever Home provides foster children with clothing, food and personal care items in a welcoming, store-like setting that allows them to shop with dignity. The organization hosts events that many children in care might otherwise miss—offering a sense of inclusion, celebration and community connection. Their efforts also include eliminating the use of garbage bags for personal belongings, promoting respect and stability.

Programs That Uplift & Remember

Through its Rest in Peace Program, the organization ensures that children who pass away in care receive a dignified burial. The organization also serves local families in need, offering critical supplies and emotional support. Every program is designed to build confidence, restore hope and help children form meaningful relationships as they move toward lasting homes.

Brandon’s Forever Home continues to advocate for the dignity, empowerment and future of foster youth across the Greater Hazleton area.
