Mission Statement
The mission of Leadership Northeast is to develop informed and committed leaders from all segments of the community who will serve, strengthen and improve Northeastern Pennsylvania. Hundreds of people connect with LNE every year through six Leadership programs, community impact project initiatives and active alumni network. There are multiple entry points into the organization offering varying degrees of opportunity to explore your potential, widen your sphere of influence, engage in authentic relationships with other leaders, and ultimately impact the quality of life in our region.

Leadership Northeast (formerly Leadership Wilkes-Barre) is a nonprofit leadership development organization based in Wilkes-Barre, PA that has guided more than 10,500 individuals on their paths to personal and professional growth. With a strong focus on servant leadership, the organization unites emerging and established leaders to create meaningful impact in Northeastern Pennsylvania.
Programs for Every Stage of Leadership
Leadership Northeast offers six unique programs tailored to a variety of audiences: the Core Program, Impact Leadership in Education, Junior Leadership (for high school juniors), Executive Leadership, Intercollegiate Leadership, and the Professional Development Series, which provides in-house leadership training. These programs foster networking, collaboration, and skills development while inspiring participants to lead with purpose.
Community Service With Lasting Impact
Each participant takes part in a team-based community service project that addresses real needs in the region. These hands-on experiences reinforce the principles of servant leadership and help participants contribute to a stronger, more connected community.
