Carve 4 Cancer is a nonprofit organization that blends action sports with a powerful mission—to fight cancer and support those affected by it. Founded by snowboarder Brent P. Evans after his diagnosis with stage IV non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma in 2010, the organization grew out of Brent’s vision to turn his love of snowboarding into a movement for good. Since its first festival in 2012, Carve 4 Cancer has become the Poconos’ premier free-ride snowboard and ski festival.
Turning Passion Into Purpose
What began as a single event has expanded into a series of extreme sports fundraisers, each channeling energy and adrenaline into cancer awareness and research support. Tens of thousands of dollars have been raised through these events, fueling life-saving breakthroughs. Brent’s commitment to shredding cancer continues to drive the nonprofit’s energy and reach.
Research, Relief & Resilience
Carve 4 Cancer honors Brent’s legacy by supporting innovative research through a partnership with Dr. Andrei Shustov and the University of Washington’s t-cell lymphoma research. The organization also uplifts cancer patients through the Live Like Brent Foundation, which provides direct financial assistance to help offset treatment costs. Every event and initiative furthers Brent’s belief in living boldly and giving back.
