Mission Statement

Our mission is to provide the best possible long-term care for abandoned senior German Shepherds eight years and older.

Woody’s Place Senior German Shepherd Sanctuary in Greentown is a 501c3 non-profit organization that provides a safe and loving home for German Shepherds that are eight years old or older. Since their start in 2011, it has been their mission to provide the best possible long-term compassionate care for abandoned and displaced German Shepherds eight years and older.

Woody’s Place is a “place in the country where old dogs come to retire.” They adopt out dogs whenever possible, but many of their dogs are “residents” who live out their golden years at the sanctuary. Woody’s Place takes care of their special medical needs and ensures that they have the best possible quality of life.

Visits to Woody’s Place are by appointment only.
