Family Service Association of Northeastern Pennsylvania in Wilkes-Barre is a nonprofit, non-sectarian agency helping individuals, children and families reach their full potential. Established in 1895, the organization has a long history of providing critical services across Northeastern PA. Its work is driven by a professional staff, a volunteer board and a commitment to the diverse needs of the communities it serves.
Comprehensive Programs & Support
FSA NEPA offers counseling for individuals, couples and families, addressing emotional and behavioral health concerns. It also operates PA 2-1-1 Northeastern/Help Line, which connects residents with vital local services. Specialized initiatives focus on youth offender reentry, guardianship assistance, and family reunification, creating safe and supportive pathways for vulnerable populations.
Outreach, Education & Early Learning
Community-based programs support families through education, outreach and home-based learning. The Parent Child Home Program helps prepare young children for school through guided parent engagement. Other efforts empower families with tools, knowledge and access to services that strengthen household stability and child development.
