Mission Statement
We’re on a mission to help communities thrive by purchasing dinners from small, local restaurants and distributing those dinners in nearby neighborhoods because if we step up to the plate together good things are bound to happen.
Fork Over Love is a local nonprofit dedicated to helping our restaurants and feeding our neighbors. This 100% volunteer-run organization uses every dollar of donations to purchase takeout meals from local restaurants. Then, they distribute those meals for free to people in need.
Fork Over Love was founded in December 2020, in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. Local restaurants were struggling to stay afloat, while many people found themselves facing food insecurity. Fork Over Love decided to bridge that gap. They have been hosting their free community meals throughout the Wyoming Valley ever since.
