Junior Achievement of Northeastern Pennsylvania (JANEPA) is a nonprofit educational organization based in Wilkes-Barre, PA that reaches approximately 12,000 students in grades K–12 each year. Since 1919, Junior Achievement’s mission has been to inspire and prepare young people to succeed in a global economy by teaching entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and work readiness.
Hands-On Learning With Real-World Impact
JANEPA offers virtual, in-school, and capstone programs that are practical, engaging, and aligned with the realities of today’s economy. The curriculum helps students understand the value of free enterprise, business, and personal financial responsibility. These interactive lessons equip young people with the skills they need to thrive both in school and in life.
Volunteers Who Inspire Success
Programs are led by volunteers from the local business community, who share their personal and professional experiences to bring lessons to life. These volunteers serve as role models, showing students how to build confidence, develop life skills, and find success in the workforce and beyond.
