The Lackawanna River Conservation Association (LRCA) is a nonprofit, nonpolitical organization based in Scranton, PA dedicated to restoring and promoting the health of the Lackawanna River. Since 1987, the LRCA has worked with local groups and government agencies to tackle water pollution, improve recreation access, and support community-based conservation projects throughout the watershed.
Education, Action & Partnership
The LRCA fosters stewardship by engaging residents of all ages through education, hands-on programs, and advocacy. Through workshops, school programs, volunteer cleanups, and public outreach, they help build a community that values its river and understands the impact of environmental choices.
