Leadership Lackawanna’s mission is to enhance the skills, connections and knowledge of emerging and established leaders, enabling them to better serve in our communities, workplaces and organizations.
Leadership Lackawanna | Building skills & inspiring civic leadership in Scranton
Leadership Lackawanna is a nonprofit professional development organization based in Scranton, PA that helps individuals build the leadership, communication, and teamwork skills needed to make a lasting impact in Lackawanna County. With an alumni network of over 2,200 graduates, the organization has shaped a generation of civic-minded professionals and community advocates.
Programs for Emerging & Established Leaders
Leadership Lackawanna offers four distinct programs: the Core Program for professionals, the Executive Program for senior-level leaders, Tomorrow’s Leaders Today for high school juniors, and Welcome Scranton!—a short program introducing newcomers to the area. Each initiative provides opportunities to collaborate, learn from local leaders, and give back through community service.
Service Projects That Strengthen the Region
Participants in each program work on group service projects that directly benefit area nonprofits, schools, and neighborhoods. These hands-on experiences not only develop leadership abilities but also deepen participants’ connection to the community.
