Emergency Shelter & Daily Essentials
The shelter offers food, clothing, bathrooms, and a secure place to rest for youth from across Northeastern Pennsylvania. In addition to meeting basic needs, the organization provides counseling, educational support, and guidance on independent living. Staff also assist with family reunification when possible.
After-School Support & Enrichment
NEPA Youth Shelter operates a drop-in center after school that gives teens a place to relax, socialize, and stay engaged. Activities include games, group programs, and access to educational tools like computers, printers, and a youth-focused library.
A Commitment to Inclusivity & Advocacy
The shelter serves youth from all backgrounds and places a special emphasis on support for LGBTQ+ teens, who are overrepresented among homeless youth. With a focus on social justice and equity, the organization fosters belonging, resilience, and empowerment for every teen who walks through its doors.
