About PA Inclusive
PA Inclusive was founded on the idea that people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, Autism, and other forms of disabilities should be able to work and live inclusively in the community the same way anyone else does.
Creating and supporting inclusive and sustainable lives for people with disabilities.
PA Inclusive helps people with disabilities achieve their goals, seek meaningful employment and become fully engaged members in the community. They believe everyone should live the way they want. To do so, they offer a variety of Day Services and Supported Living services designed to help people with intellectual disabilities, autism and down syndrome achieve their goals and the social life they choose.
Originally known as NEPA Inclusive, the organization rebranded to PA Inclusive to reflect its expanded reach beyond Northeastern Pennsylvania. Over the past decade, PA Inclusive has grown to serve fourteen counties in eastern Pennsylvania, including Luzerne, Lackawanna, Wyoming, Carbon, Monroe, Pike, Berks, Montgomery, Bucks, Lehigh, Northampton, and Columbia.
PA Inclusive offers a comprehensive range of services designed to support individuals with disabilities throughout various life stages:
- Live Inclusive: Providing In-Home and Community Supports, Companion Services, and Supported Living Services, PA Inclusive assists individuals in living where and with whom they choose, promoting independence and community engagement.
- Work Inclusive: As a vendor for the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation (OVR), the organization offers employment services such as Job Finding and Job Coaching. They focus on securing competitive employment opportunities, ensuring individuals with disabilities earn equitable wages and contribute meaningfully to their communities.
- Transition Inclusive: Recognizing the importance of planning for life after high school, PA Inclusive collaborates with students, families, and school districts to provide Pre-Employment Transition Services (PETS). These services include Job Shadowing, On-The-Job Training, Community-Based Work Assessments, and Work-Based Learning Experiences, all tailored to guide students toward their desired vocations upon graduation.
In addition to these core services, PA Inclusive has expanded its initiatives by merging with other organizations. In 2022, they integrated Turn To Us Autism Resource Center and Sensory Gym, offering advocacy and resources for children with Autism and their families. In March 2023, they launched Coffee Inclusive, a full-service coffee shop in Pittston that employs individuals with diverse abilities, providing a platform for inclusive employment and community interaction.
PA Inclusive’s person-centered approach ensures that individuals with disabilities are involved in decision-making processes, from leading teams to participating on committees and the board of directors. This commitment to inclusion empowers individuals to make their own choices, advocate for themselves and their peers, and actively engage in planning and decision-making.
