Pennsylvania Theatre of Performing Arts | Live theater & youth programs in Hazleton

The Pennsylvania Theatre of Performing Arts (PTPA) is a nonprofit community theater enriching Greater Hazleton with live performances and creative opportunities for over 20 years. Located at the J.J. Ferrara Center, PTPA stages high-quality productions for audiences of all ages while nurturing local talent through education and artistic expression. The organization continues to be a vital force in keeping the performing arts active and accessible in the region.

Productions That Entertain & Inspire

Each year, PTPA presents around six full-scale productions, including two youth shows that highlight the energy and talent of young performers. From musicals and dramas to family-friendly performances, the company provides a stage for local actors, musicians and dancers to share their work and connect with the community. Every show brings together creativity, teamwork and a shared love of the arts.

Opportunities for Young Artists

PTPA also offers workshops and educational programming designed to introduce young people to the performing arts. These opportunities help students build confidence, learn stagecraft and express themselves in a supportive, hands-on environment. The organization’s commitment to youth education strengthens the cultural future of the Greater Hazleton area.
