The Scranton Area Community Foundation in Scranton is a nonprofit organization strengthening Northeastern Pennsylvania through strategic charitable giving. Since 1954, the Foundation has helped donors make a lasting difference by managing more than 450 charitable funds and overseeing over $100 million in assets. It serves as a catalyst for regional progress by connecting generosity with local needs.
Investing in Community Initiatives
The Foundation leads a variety of programs and partnerships, including Women in Philanthropy, NEPA Moves, the NEPA Animal Welfare Collaborative and the Center for Community Leadership and Nonprofit Excellence. It also hosts signature regional events like NEPA Gives and the NEPA Learning Conference. These initiatives support education, health, economic opportunity and nonprofit growth throughout the region.

As a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization in compliance with National Standards for U.S. Community Foundations, the Foundation offers a secure and transparent platform for giving.
