The St. Peter’s Community Resource Center (SPCRC) is a faith-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization located in Lehighton, PA, committed to supporting individuals and families in need through practical assistance, outreach & community partnerships. The center provides essential items like toiletries and food, connects people with local support services, and offers space for other nonprofits to operate—serving as a vital hub for compassion and care in the region.
Providing Bare Necessities With Dignity
At the heart of SPCRC’s services is the Bare Necessities Pantry, which offers toiletries and nonperishable food items to qualifying residents of the Lehighton, Palmerton and Jim Thorpe School Districts. Open the fourth Saturday of each month from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., the pantry serves those who are eligible for SNAP, helping to relieve some of the everyday burdens faced by individuals and families in financial distress.
Expanding Outreach & Creating Community Space
SPCRC also oversees the Brian K. Kresge Street Outreach Project, further extending the center’s reach to individuals experiencing homelessness or instability. In addition to its charitable services, the center provides valuable space for other nonprofits to operate and offers rental space for private events, including parties, funerals and weddings—helping to support both mission-based work and community celebration in one welcoming location.
