Mission Statement
The mission of the Wright Township Volunteer Fire Department is to provide the citizens of Wright and Rice Townships and surrounding communities with the highest degree of service within our capacity in order to preserve and protect life and property from the devastation of fire and other life-threatening emergencies in the most efficient manner possible without compromising professionalism or safety.
The Wright Township Volunteer Fire Department is an entirely volunteer-based fire protection service in Mountain Top. Their department covers both Wright Township and Rice Township. They are also on automatic dispatch for many of the surrounding towns.
They offer fire protection services, emergency response, fire safety and education, and more. In addition to educational events, they also hold seasonal fundraisers throughout the year for the benefit of the local community and the fire department. The department also has a firehall available to rent for birthday parties, baby showers, family reunions, or any occasion to get together.
Wright Township Volunteer Fire Department is always looking for new volunteers to help them run their day-to-day operations. Volunteers do not need to be firefighters or even residents of Wright Township. The department offers various opportunities for the community to get involved, and they provide necessary training for volunteer positions.
