For seventy five years the Wyoming Valley Catholic Youth Center has provided a solid foundation for the youth of our area. The CYC has developed the personalities, skills and future goals of thousands of young men and women.

The Wyoming Valley Catholic Youth Center (CYC) in downtown Wilkes-Barre, PA is a nonprofit childcare and recreation center serving families since 1948. Known for its safe, family-friendly environment, the CYC provides essential programs for children, youth, and adults while fostering health, learning, and community connection.
24-Hour Childcare & Youth Programs
The CYC operates Luzerne County’s only 24-hour childcare center, offering a vital service for working families. Children ages six weeks through 13 years can enroll in round-the-clock care. Additional programs include before and after school care for kindergarten through eighth grade, a part-time kindergarten readiness program, and fun-filled summer camps.
Fitness & Recreation for All Ages
In addition to childcare, the CYC welcomes the entire community to enjoy its expansive recreation facilities. Amenities include a state-of-the-art pool, two full gymnasiums, outdoor playgrounds, and a public park. The center also hosts regular swim lessons, swim meets, basketball leagues, and clinics that promote physical activity and healthy lifestyles.
